Today, I saw a performance of Rent done by a group of high schoolers. The man that sat next to me who made uncomfortable noises the first time Collins and Angel kissed was crying when she died. And that, my friends, is the power of musical theatre.

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY: A musical with puppets as the main characters? It may sound crazy, but today in 2003, the PG-13-rated musical Avenue Q opens at the Golden Theatre. It will go on to run for 2,534 performances on Broadway, and win the 2004 Tony Award for Best Musical. One month after its final Broadway performance, the production will re-open Off-Broadway at New World Stages.

Daily Drawing #259

‘Hey, you there with that face in the mirror.
What the hell are you looking at? No, really?
Who are you there to judge me?
You’re exactly like me but flat..’

So I’m at the stage of listening to a new musical OCR when you get all of the songs stuck in your head at once.
From the musical, ‘If/Then’ currently on Broadway cries because I will never see it fml This is Idina Menzel’s character, Elizabeth in the song, 'What the F*ck'.
I LOVE THIS MUSICAL SO MUCH. (It’s from the makers of RENT and Next to Normal, so I mean how could I NOT love it?!)
Short video of the song! [x]
